Five Nines Company was employed by Clark Construction to complete commissioning services for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) MD 355 Crossing design-build project, which included the elevator shaft and connector tunnel to the existing medical center Metro station. MD335 Crossing is located inside the Bethesda, MD Capital Beltway (I-495) adjacent to the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the Naval Support Activity Bethesda (NSAB). The pedestrian access tunnel connects the National Institutes of Health campus with the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center campus under Maryland Route 355. The project also included high-speed elevators that link the Metrorail mezzanine at the Medical Center Station in Bethesda with the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Commissioning included MEP and Fire Alarm/Smoke Control systems.
