Overview

The National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) is the Military Health System institute for complex, comorbid traumatic brain injury and psychological health conditions. NICoE delivers comprehensive and holistic care, conducts focused research, and exports knowledge to benefit service members, their families and society. Five Nines Company has been commissioning the new construction of multiple 25,000 SF satellite Intrepid Spirit Center Patient Care Centers since 2012 with various clinical applications such as Physical Therapy, a Sleep Lab, Central Park, Family Room, and a Rehabilitation Gymnasium. Thus far, the firm has commissioned 9 of these facilities, with a tenth project on the horizon, from the design phase through post-occupancy in partnership with Plaza Construction Company. Locations include Camp LeJeune, Jacksonville, North Carolina; Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Fort Campbell, Tennessee; Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Hood, Texas; Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington; Camp Pendleton, San Diego, California; Eglin Air Force Base, Florida; and Fort Carson, Colorado.
