Overview

This Historic Juvenile Courthouse was redesigned and renovated to accommodate the DC Courts’ Information Technology and Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Divisions. The bid-build renovation of the 50,000 SF, four level structure built in 1939 included a new core and shell building, extensive exterior refurbishment, the addition of a state of the art facility for central IT function, and new mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. The interior refurbishment included modernization of the main courtroom and a functional redesign of judges chambers into mediation rooms. Five Nines completed Fundamental and Enhanced commissioning. The project received LEED Gold Certification
