The P165 SOF Combat Services Support Facility at JEB Little Creek, Fort Story in Virginia Beach, VA included the design/build of a new 25,000 gross square foot two story Combat Services Support (CSS) Facility and a new 10,000 gross square foot single story Warehouse for SEAL Team 6. The CSS administration building contains personnel work spaces, training functions and individual storage cages, split between two floors. The first floor includes space for gear storage, as well as restroom and shower facilities, and laundry capabilities. The second-floor houses private offices, open work areas, and training and conference rooms. The warehouse provides open storage space, work spaces, shop spaces, and office space. The facility’s mechanical equipment is controlled/monitored by a building management system.
Five Nines Company was hired to perform LEED Fundamental and Enhanced commissioning of the HVAC, Lighting Control and Domestic Hot Water systems. Services included development of the Commissioning Plan, design and submittal reviews, development of the Pre-Functional Checklists (PFCs) and Functional Performance Tests (FPTs), review of equipment installation, witnessing FPTs as conducted by the controls and mechanical contractor, reviewing the training plan and reviewing the Systems Operation and Maintenance Manuals (SOMMs).
