Ward Hall currently houses the Computer / Information Technology building at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Five Nines Company was hired to perform mechanical commissioning services for replacement of the modular water-cooled chiller system that provides chilled water for the data servers. Given the mission-critical nature of the facility and imperative need to not experience any loss or interruption of chilled water service, the system provides N+1 redundancy, using campus chilled water as a backup. The chiller system automatically selects condenser water cooling source from either geothermal, campus cooling or heat recovery mode for optimum energy efficiency year-round.
