This project includes renovation to the Main Concourse Gallery, which houses the “Speed” exhibit, to include space for a Lockheed Blackbird SR-71 supersonic jet airplane. Additional construction of the new 24,000 square foot multi-purpose Dewey Gottwald Center provides a separate special event space to be utilized for educational, commercial, social and cultural events, as well as to showcase acclaimed traveling exhibits that require carefully controlled humidity, temperature, and lighting. The Five Nines Company provided fundamental and enhanced commissioning services for the MEP systems.
