Overview

Matthew Whaley Elementary School is a historic facility located in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg. The structure was built between 1329 and 1930. Five Nines Company provided Fundamental commissioning services for Matthew Whaley’s chiller replacement project. The school’s chiller, chilled water pumps, hot water pumps and variable frequency drives were replaced as part of the overall division replacement cycle. The goal of the project was to increase system efficiency and reliability with special attention to how the system operates in occupied mode versus unoccupied mode.
